The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has launched a special radio programme to support intending pilgrims in completing their Hajj induction course during the holy month of Ramadan.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the Board Public Relations Officer, Sulaimon Dederi, on Sunday.

Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, announced the initiative at the closing ceremony of the weekly Hajj Induction Course held at the School for Arabic Studies in Kano.

Matawalle said the programme was introduced to make Hajj education more accessible, allowing pilgrims to follow induction lectures from their homes through designated radio stations during Ramadan.

He explained that the broadcasts would offer detailed guidance on Hajj rites, travel procedures, health requirements and spiritual preparation, ensuring that registered pilgrims are fully prepared for the sacred journey.

The director general assured that all necessary arrangements had been put in place to guarantee a smooth experience for pilgrims, from departure in Kano to their stay in the Holy Land.

He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to providing continuous orientation and welfare services to ensure a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj for pilgrims from Kano State.

The Board urged intending pilgrims to actively participate in the radio induction programme and take advantage of the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Hajj rites during Ramadan.
