The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a public disclaimer over a fake Facebook account impersonating its Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf.
In a statement by Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, NAHCON, Fatima Usara, the commission described the account as fraudulent and clarified that it has no affiliation whatsoever with the NAHCON chairman. It stated that Ambassador Yusuf is not on Facebook or any other social media platform.
NAHCON advised members of the public to disregard any communication from the said account or similar platforms and report such pages to the appropriate authorities.
The commission urged the public to rely solely on its official communication channels for verified information.
