The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has recommended the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency following an inspection of facilities put in place for the smooth conduct of Hajj operations in the state.
A delegation from the aviation regulator inspected key facilities at the Kauran Gwandu Hajj Camp as part of preparations for the airlift of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
The team, led by Abba Shuaib Babagana, examined the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre where digital documentation and pilgrims’ data management are handled to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the Hajj process.
They also inspected the conference hall used for meetings, briefings and orientation programmes for pilgrims ahead of departure, as well as the screening hall where medical checks, documentation verification and other screening procedures are conducted.
The NCAA delegation further toured the general environment of the Hajj camp and expressed satisfaction with the level of cleanliness, organisation and facilities available to support pilgrims.
According to the officials, the infrastructure and arrangements provided by the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency reflect the state government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-organised Hajj operation.
The inspection forms part of routine assessments carried out by the NCAA to ensure compliance with aviation and operational standards required for the successful airlift of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
