RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Pakistan has issued a strict advisory to its citizens travelling to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, urging pilgrims to respect the Kingdom’s laws and visa regulations throughout their stay.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia warned Umrah pilgrims and Pakistani workers against begging, unauthorised collection of money and other activities that violate Saudi laws or the conditions attached to their visas.
In its advisory, the embassy stressed the importance of complying with local regulations, reminding pilgrims that violations could result in serious legal consequences, including arrest, detention or deportation.
The warning comes as Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen measures aimed at maintaining order and ensuring that religious activities are conducted in accordance with established regulations.
The Pakistani Embassy also shared an AI-generated awareness video on X, carrying the caption: “Important Message for All Umrah Pilgrims…” The video was intended to remind Pakistani pilgrims of their responsibilities while performing Umrah in the Kingdom.
Authorities are encouraging pilgrims to focus on their worship, follow official instructions and avoid any activity that could breach Saudi regulations.
The embassy’s message serves as a reminder to all international pilgrims that Umrah is both a religious journey and a responsibility to respect the laws of the host country.
