Governor Caleb Mutfwang has said that over 1,100 intending pilgrims from Plateau State will participate in the 2026 #Hajj exercise.

Mutfwang disclosed that the state government would provide the necessary support to enable the pilgrims perform their religious obligations, while also contributing to peace and development.

He expressed confidence that Plateau could serve as a model for interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

Earlier, the Emir of Wase and Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam in Plateau State, Muhammad Sambo, commended the governor’s inclusive style of governance and efforts to promote peace and security.

Sambo noted that Ramadan promotes values such as patience, sacrifice and compassion, which are essential for building a progressive society.

He also appreciated the state government’s Ramadan food palliatives for vulnerable families, as well as ongoing infrastructural development and support to traditional rulers, describing them as evidence of the administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends.
