Vice President Kashim Shettima is set to officially flag off the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj on Sunday, May 3.
The ceremony will take place at the Pilgrims Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to details of the event, the flag-off is scheduled to begin at 1pm and will mark the commencement of the transportation of Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
The inaugural flight is expected to signal the start of the nationwide airlift exercise for intending pilgrims participating in the 2026 Hajj.
