The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has inspected the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport ahead of the airlift of intending pilgrims from Kebbi State for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The inspection team, led by acting zonal coordinator Mohammed Nura Danladi alongside public affairs officer Hafsat Na’ibi, assessed key operational areas including check-in procedures, security arrangements, and facilities designated for pilgrims’ processing and reception.
The delegation also engaged officials of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, supported by Mohammed Lawal Audice and members of the airport and reception committee, to ensure that logistics and support services are fully in place for a smooth operation.
NAHCON expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness at the airport, commending the Kebbi State Government and the pilgrims’ agency for their efforts toward a seamless airlift process.
The inspection forms part of NAHCON’s nationwide oversight to ensure all embarkation points meet required standards before the commencement of pilgrims’ transportation to the Saudi Arabia.
Responding, permanent secretary, airport, Habibu Mohammed Sabi, said arrangements had been concluded for hitch-free operations.
