The Chief Executive Officer of Alkauthar Travels and Tours, Hajiya Rabiatu Umar, has urged intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to remain disciplined, comply with laid-down regulations, and prepare spiritually for the sacred journey.

Umar made the call during the company’s Hajj induction seminar, where she delivered the opening remarks, emphasising that Hajj is a sacred obligation that requires sincerity of purpose and proper preparation.

“Hajj is a sacred journey, and we are expected to have clear intentions. It is an opportunity given by Allah, and we must utilise it to pray for ourselves, our families, and our country,” she said.

She noted that insights shared by Islamic scholars at the seminar would guide participants in understanding the rites and responsibilities associated with the pilgrimage.

Umar also stressed the importance of complying with operational procedures, particularly regarding documentation, warning that failure to follow instructions could lead to avoidable complications.

“There is no need to panic. If you are asked to submit your passport, please do so. It is part of the rules given to us, and your documents will be returned accordingly,” she said.

She cautioned against the habit of some pilgrims holding onto their passports, noting that such actions could create challenges at entry points if their details are not properly captured in official systems.

The CEO further disclosed that a significant number of Alkauthar pilgrims are based abroad, with fewer than 45 currently in Nigeria, adding that pilgrims would converge with others from different countries in Saudi Arabia.

Umar emphasised that new policies have been introduced for the 2026 Hajj and assured that all updates would be communicated to pilgrims, urging them to seek clarification through official platforms when necessary.

In a related message, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ismail Yusuf, extended his goodwill to the pilgrims and organisers, wishing them fruitful deliberations.

In his message, Yusuf described Hajj as a sacred journey that requires clear intention and spiritual readiness, urging pilgrims to reflect on the teachings of scholars and prepare adequately.

He encouraged intending pilgrims to make the most of the opportunity by praying for themselves, their families, and the country, while also remembering those who could not perform the pilgrimage this year.

Yusuf, who was represented at the event by Board member representing Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Ahmed Sule.

He said, “It is an opportunity given by Allah to perform Hajj, and we should utilise it to pray for ourselves, for our country, and for our families. We should also pray for those who do not have the chance this year, that Allah grants them the opportunity in the future,” he said.

The induction seminar forms part of Alkauthar Travels and Tours’ preparations to ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj exercise for its clients.
