The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has announced that the first batch of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj will be airlifted to Saudi Arabia on Monday, May 11.
In a public notice signed by Executive Secretary, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, the board said the inaugural flight, with a capacity of 345 pilgrims, will convey participants from Chanchaga and Borgu local government areas.
The board advised all affected pilgrims to arrive at the Minna Hajj Camp on Sunday evening to undergo medical screening and security checks ahead of the scheduled departure.
It warned that under the E-Nusuk grouping system, changes to flight arrangements are not permitted, stressing that any pilgrim who fails to show up for the flight risks forfeiting their slot for the 2026 Hajj.
The board urged pilgrims to stay updated through radio announcements and its official social media platforms for further information on flight schedules.
