The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage and fixed an initial deposit of N7 million for intending pilgrims.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, announced this during a press conference at the board’s headquarters in Bauchi on Monday.
Idris said the registration and collection of Hajj deposits had begun and would close on September 25, 2026. He added that visa processing for the pilgrimage would end on January 28, 2027, while the airlift of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to commence on April 8, 2027.
He urged intending pilgrims, Hajj officials and Islamic scholars to intensify public enlightenment on the approved timetable to ensure prospective pilgrims complete their registration before the deadline.
The executive secretary also advised intending pilgrims paying through their respective local government areas, Jaiz Bank or directly to the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to make their deposits promptly.
