The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has announced that the Board will introduce an outreach medical screening programme at the Local Government Area level for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
The initiative is aimed at making medical screening easier and more accessible to intending pilgrims, particularly those living in rural areas of the state.
Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle disclosed this today during a one-hour programme, Fitila, aired on Radio Kano.
The Director-General added that the Board would introduce additional new arrangements once all intending pilgrims had been uploaded to the server.
He also called on intending pilgrims who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so before the end of this month, 31 August 2026.
He emphasised that there would be no extension of the deadline for the submission and uploading of international passports to the server. He therefore urged all intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their passports to do so within the stipulated period.
The Director-General expressed appreciation for the contributions and support of the Kano State Government, under the able leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, towards the welfare of pilgrims in the state.
