Jigawa commences disbursement ot 2026 Hajj Excess Fare to Pilgrims

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially begun the distribution of excess fare refunds to pilgrims who participated in the 2026 Hajj.

The board has begun distributing seven thousand three hundred and Eleven Naira (N7,311) to each eligible pilgrim.

Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, Director-General of the Board, launched the payment exercise at the Board’s headquarters in Dutse.

Following the official launch, Alhaji Labbo announced that zonal officers will immediately begin distributing the funds across all zonal offices in Jigawa State to ensure that all beneficiaries receive their refunds as soon as possible.

Addressing the staff and stakeholders, the Director-General expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the board’s employees for their dedication and commitment to carrying out their responsibilities effectively.

This is the second time the board has issued refunds to pilgrims this season.

Notably, two months ago, the agency successfully refunded each pilgrim with over fifty-three thousand naira (N53,000)..

Alhaji Labbo emphasized the board’s unwavering commitment to transparency, honesty, and social justice. He assured the public that the agency would not withhold a single kobo belonging to an intending pilgrim, emphasizing that the board is still committed to serving with integrity.
