The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the practical training of Hajj rites for intending pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

The training exercise, held at the Hajj Camp near the airport base in Bauchi, was officially flagged off by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris.

Speaking at the event, Imam Abdurrahman explained that the practical session is a critical component of the Board’s preparations to ensure pilgrims are well-versed in correctly performing the Hajj rituals. He emphasized that the pilgrims had already undergone a series of theoretical lectures focusing on the rituals of Hajj and how to cope with environmental and weather-related challenges in Saudi Arabia.

During the training, the intending pilgrims were taken through a step-by-step demonstration of key Hajj rites including:

* Tawaf (circumambulation around the Kaaba),

* Sa’i (ritual walking between Safa and Marwah), and

* Jamarat (symbolic stoning of the devil).

Imam Abdurrahman personally led the demonstrations, offering practical guidance and explanations to ensure full understanding by the participants.

He extended gratitude to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Dr. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, for his unwavering support towards the success of Hajj operations in the state. According to him, the Governor’s commitment has positioned Bauchi State among the top performers in Hajj preparations, making it one of the first states in Nigeria set to dispatch its pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The session marks a significant milestone in Bauchi’s 2025 Hajj preparations, reflecting a proactive approach to ensuring a spiritually rewarding and hitch-free pilgrimage for its citizens.
