Borno State Hajj Commission Inaugurates Key Committee for 2025 Hajj Operations

The Borno State Hajj Commission (BOSHCOM) today inaugurated the Security, Screening, Discipline, Hadiya, and BTA Committee ahead of the 2025 Hajj operations. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of the Commission’s headquarters in Maiduguri.

 

In his remarks during the event, the Executive Chairman of BOSHCOM, Alhaji Muhammed Dawule Mainok, described the committee as the “strongest and the mother of all standing committees” established by the Commission. He emphasized its crucial role in ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operation.

 

Alhaji Mainok explained that the inauguration of such committees has become an annual tradition aimed at strategizing and putting in place effective modalities for the security, screening, and discipline of intending pilgrims. According to him, the committee’s work is essential for preventing operational hitches during the pilgrimage season.

 

The Chairman also disclosed that the committee’s membership includes both BOSHCOM staff and selected security personnel from relevant agencies, reflecting a broad-based approach to safeguarding the interests of the pilgrims.

 

The event marks a significant step in the Commission’s preparations for the 2025 Hajj, reinforcing its commitment to the welfare and security of pilgrims from Borno State.
