DAY ONE: Kastina State pilgrims applaud feeding arrangements in Mina

by admin

The Feeding arrangements in Mina this year has been described as ‘better than previous hajj experiences’

Some pilgrims who spoke with HAJJ REPORTERS in Mina said the situation has improved greatly compared to last year hajj exercise.

A pilgrim Alh Usman said they received their breakfast as soon as they arrived their tent around 7am with additional fruits and water. The next supply came around 2 to 3pm.

A female pilgrim Amina said they were fed 3 times saying they actually enjoy the feeding. We were initially worried when we didn’t see our sisters (Tukari) that usually sell food in Mina. I was told the new NUSUK card issue has stopped them from coming in. We usually rely on them if the feeding didn’t come in time but Alhamdullahi we didn’t miss them as the food supply by the service providers meet our taste.

“What impresses me is that the food were hygienic because it is written that you must eat it within an hour of supply.  This will enhances the nutritional value of the food.

However, an official of the state Muslim pilgrims welfare boards who crave anonymity said the tents were not being cleaned in time ‘ I hope they will improve on the cleaning by the time we return from Arafat.
