The Newly appointed Director of FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Mallam Kadiri Edah, said the board under his watch will undergo a series of reforms, including complete digitalization of all administrative functions.

The Director who reveals this the National Executive of Independent Hajj Reporters during an interactive session in his office today in Abuja

Speaking further “ I am happy to meet highly respected experienced media stakeholders like Independent Hajj Reporters and we look forward to a fruitful engagement with your team towards providing the best services to our pilgrims’

“When I came on board, we started with visitation to major stakeholders like traditional rulers and Islamic scholars whom we know are of valuable importance to us. They are very close to the pilgrims and as such they will help us in sensitizing them”

We will soon begin a complete overhaul of administrative procedures by digitalising all the activities of the board to an online database system. This we believe will improve efficiency and transparency in the system.

Earlier today, we also inaugurated two different committees. One of the committees is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that the 2023 hajj refunds is carried out properly with clear modalities to ensure all those who participated in the 2023 hajj under FCT got their refund.

The other committee is to fashion out modalities on how we can generate revenue to supplement the activities of the board
