Press Release

In a significant move to enhance the welfare of Kebbi State pilgrims in the Holy land, Gov. Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has approved measures to improve both the quantity and quality of meals for the pilgrims performing the Hajj in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The Governor has also provided buses to facilitate the transportation of the pilgrims to the holy sites in Madinah for visitations and onward travel to Makkah for the main Hajj exercise.

This development was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Musa Yaro (Enabo), during an APC stakeholders’ meeting held in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

He commended the Governor for the invaluable gesture, noting that it will greatly ease the pilgrimage experience for the Kebbi State pilgrims.

He added that such support and facilities have not been previously available and are not commonly extended to pilgrims from other Nigerian states.

Alhaji Faruku called on other politicians and stakeholders to emulate the Governor by supporting the pilgrims through the Agency or their representatives.

He also urged the pilgrims to offer prayers for the country’s leaders and the nation as a whole.
