The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia headed by its Ambassador His Excellency Faisal Ebraheem Alghamdi and National Commission on Muslim Filipinos Secretary Sabuddin Abdurahim send off this year’s first batch of pilgrims of the annual Hajj.
On his message, Ambassador Alghamdi mentioned the preparedness of the Saudi government in accommodating the pilgrims, Kingdom have completed all preparations to receive the pilgrims in line with the leadership’s clear commitment to making the Hajj experience smooth and spiritually fulfilling for all.
He also emphasized the great coordination between the two governments, particularly through the Philippine Hajj bureau, which has been instrumental in facilitating the pilgrimage in ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place.
Secretary Abdurahim on the other hand, wishes all pilgrims safe travel and reminded them of the importance of doing the hajj, to observe prayers and remembrance of God while being on the journey.
Following last year’s successful hajj that earned good feedback from the Filipino pilgrims , this year’s hajj also reached its country quota of 5,000 pilgrims to allow perform hajj provided by the Kingdom.
Because of this, Abdurahim said that this year, among other changes, they are also adding services like additional buses for pilgrim’s comfort, “Last year, wala, So ngayon we provided them 4 buses from (their) Makkah hotel to Haraam (mosque), that is a 24-hours transportation. Secondly, sa Mina, continued na ang buses. Hopefully maiwasan na natin ang stranded pilgrims especially sa Muzdalifa”.
Abdurahim also prides to announce that in his leadership, all of the visas of the pilgrims were released a month before their respective departures.
Last batch to depart from Manila is on May 29, 2025.
