Gov Namadi approves N3.4 billion Loan for Advance Payment of 2026 Hajj seats for Jigawa Pilgrims

Once again, the Jigawa State Executive Council has approved a loan of ₦3.4 billion to the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board. This loan will help the board secure Hajj seats for the 2026 pilgrimage.

 

 

A statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the Habibu Yusuf Babura said the State commissioner of Health Dr Abdullahi Muhammad Kainuwa announced this to the newsmen after the council meeting chaired by Governor Umar Namadi.

 

He said the Jigawa State government will continue to support its citizens in fulfilling their religious obligations.

 

He explained that this will enable the board to secure the Hajj seats allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission for next year’s Hajj operations.

 

 

The Director General of the Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, praised Governor Mal Umar Namadi’s commitment to the welfare of Jigawa State pilgrims. He emphasised that this loan will significantly ease the financial burden on pilgrims and ensure their participation in the 2026 Hajj.
