The Bauchi Commissioner Ministry, Ministry of religious affairs and societal reorientation has commended Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for creating Hajj demonstration centre for the pilgrims.
The Hon Commissioner Hon. Yakubu Hanza made commendation while making a closing remarks at the brief occasion for opening of a newly constructed Hajj demonstration centre at Sultan Saad Abubakar Hajj Camp Bauchi.
He expressed optimism that the demonstration centre would guide the intending pilgrims on how to perform Hajj inline with Islamic principle, advised them to make.good use of the knowledge acquired to get Hajj mabrur.
In his vote of thanks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Pilgrims affairs Hon Shehu Alh. Wadaji thanked Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Kauran Bauchi for the construction of a befitting Hajj camp in Bauchi, describing it as the best in Nigeria.
He added that the Governor in his on desired, has continue to support Hajj administration, urged pilgrims to pray for him in order to enable him deliver his promises to good people of Bauchi State.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Board Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris said the establishment of the demonstration Centre was deliberate effort by the Board to provide a level playing ground to provides a last minute training to pilgrims who on their way to Saudi Arabia.
He further noted that the demonstration center has a replicate of Kaaba, Makama Ibrahim, Sa’ayi place and video projectors to assist the intending pilgrims at Bauchi Hajj Camp.
Imam Abdurrahman added that the Board commenced the training with Bauchi Local Government Pilgrims and others from Hajj Savings Scheme and has a plan to train all the pilgrims prior to their departure for Saudi Arabia.
Highlights of the event was a physical demonstration on how to wear Ihram and how to perform dawaf and Sa’ayi led by Mal. Ibrahim Ahmad Diye.
