PRESS RELEASE
The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully concluded medical screening of intending pilgrims in preparation for the 2026 Hajj in Mecca.
The exercise overseen by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, confirmed that all Jigawa State pilgrims have met the necessary health requirements.
This follows the directive of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which stipulates that only healthy pilgrims can perform the Hajj this year.
Alhaji Ahmad Labbo further confirmed that the medical team conducted their duties diligently, and no payments were collected from the pilgrims, as the Jigawa State Hajj Welfare Board shouldered the entire cost.
He also extended his gratitude to the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, for providing all the necessary resources for the board to operate effectively.
