The President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, has directed the establishment of a scientific committee to document and preserve the works of the late Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh.

The committee will be responsible for collecting, translating, printing, and publishing the sermons and lessons of the former Grand Mufti, including his Day of Arafah sermons delivered over 35 years at the Two Holy Mosques.

According to Al-Sudais, the initiative is designed to honour the legacy of the late scholar, who also served as Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, General President of Scholarly Research and Fatwa, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.

He described the move as a gesture of gratitude for the late Mufti’s lifelong dedication to Islamic sciences, his service to the Two Holy Mosques, and his contributions to the global Muslim community.
