The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency on Wednesday inaugurated 26 committees for a smooth 2025 Hajj exercise.
The Executive Chairman of the Agency, Malam Salihu Abubakar, while inaugurating the committees said that the 26 committees have a combined membership strength of 75 persons.
Abubakar said the committee was approved by Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna state.
The newsmen reports that the committees include the Medical Team, Finance, Receptions in Mecca and Medina, Accommodation and Welfare, Catering and Hadaya.
Others are the Report Writing, Security and Special Services, Jeddah Inbound and Outbound, Stores, Luggage and Weighing and the Media and Publicity committees aside others.
Abubakar said that the committees are to assist and ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the pilgrims.
He said the committee officials have been briefed and given necessary guidelines.
He charged them to work diligently and honestly in the fear of God.
The chairman said that a total of 4, 061 pilgrims are expected to perform this year’s Hajj.
The newsmen reports that the agency had announced that it would begin transportation of the 2025 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj on May 14.
