The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, is pleased to announce that Hajiya Yelwa Takai, a pilgrim from Kano State who was left behind in Saudi Arabia due to a critical health condition, has safely returned to Nigeria.
Hajiya Yelwa Takai experienced a sudden health crisis during the pilgrimage and received immediate medical attention in Saudi Arabia. The authorities in the Kingdom, in collaboration with the Nigerian Consulate, ensured that she was provided with the necessary care until she was stable enough to travel.
Upon her return, she was warmly received by officials of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.
The Board, under the leadership of Director General Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa and Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Kabiru Muhd Panda, has been in close contact with her family and ensured that all necessary arrangements were made for her smooth return and continued medical care.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa expressed his gratitude to the Saudi authorities, the Nigerian Consulate in Saudi Arabia, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, and all individuals involved in ensuring the safe return of Hajiya Yelwa Takai.
He also assured that the Board remains committed to the well-being of all pilgrims and will continue to provide support to those in need.
Furthermore, he wished Hajiya Yelwa Takai a speedy recovery and expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government under the able leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment to the health and well-being of the pilgrim.
