The Kogi State Hajj Commission has announced the commencement of fare collection for intending pilgrims planning to participate in the 2027 Hajj exercise.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Administration, Imam Minstr Muhammad, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the commission said the tentative fare for the 2027 pilgrimage has been fixed at N7.7 million, subject to review upon the completion of arrangements and final approval of the fare.
The commission advised intending pilgrims to begin payments immediately, noting that the minimum acceptable deposit is N5 million, while those who wish may pay the full tentative fare.
It stated that the deadline for payment is September 25, 2026, warning that no extension may be granted after the expiration of the deadline.
The commission also directed all intending pilgrims to present a recent Tax Clearance Certificate as part of the requirements for successful registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
It urged prospective pilgrims to complete their payments early to secure their participation and avoid inconveniences associated with late registration. The commission also prayed for a successful and accepted Hajj for all intending pilgrims.
