Meet Shaykh Sarhity, the privileged man who holds the Key to Roda Rasool

This beautiful man has the most incredible job in the entire world. He is over 90 years old and from amongst the Aghwat – the individuals with the keys to Roda Rasool ﷺ.

They are honored with the job of opening the chambers for guests. Their job is to also ‘clean Roda Rasool ﷺ. =Historically, the Aghwat would also light the lanterns and serve Masjid-al-Nabawi.

Shaykh Sarhity was a man who had a hobby of collecting beautiful scents, but he said, ‘By Allāh, on the day the chambers were opened, I never smelt a fragrance, aroma, or perfume more heavenly than the fragrance in that room’.
