The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the closure of the 2026 Hajj data-capturing window by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
In a statement signed by Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Fatima Sanda Usara, NAHCON said it has formally appealed to Saudi authorities for an extension to allow Nigerian Hajj officials complete the registration of intending pilgrims yet to be uploaded on the Nusuk Masar platform. The commission expressed optimism that the request would receive favourable consideration and assured the public that updates would be communicated promptly.
NAHCON also warned intending pilgrims against making any payments for the 2026 Hajj, stressing that the payment window has been officially closed. The commission cautioned members of the public not to transact with individuals or agencies claiming to collect Hajj fares, urging them instead to rely only on NAHCON’s verified communication channels.
The commission appealed for patience and cooperation from stakeholders as it continues engagement with Saudi authorities to ensure a smooth Hajj process for Nigerian pilgrims.
