The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board will commence the airlift of its 2026 Hajj pilgrims on Monday, May 11, with Flynas Airline as the official carrier for the exercise.
In a statement, the Executive Secretary of the board, Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, said a total of 2,281 intending pilgrims would be transported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in six flights. He disclosed that the inaugural flight would airlift 345 pilgrims from Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, to Madina, including pilgrims from Borgu and Chanchaga Local Government Areas.
Aliyu advised intending pilgrims to liaise with Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers for their flight schedules and arrive at the Hajj camp by 7 a.m. for screening and clearance. He assured of a hitch-free operation and urged pilgrims to follow updates through radio announcements and the board’s official platforms. The statement was signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Jibrin Usman Kodo.
