Kwara airlifted 930 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in two batches

The first batch of intending pilgrims from Kwara State has safely arrived in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The 374 intending pilgrims were airlifted aboard a MaxAir flight from the Babatunde Idi-Agbon International Airport, Ilorin, departing at exactly 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The report further indicates that the second batch of 556 intending pilgrims also departed Ilorin aboard another MaxAir flight at about 2:00 a.m. on Thursday.

With the successful airlift of the two batches, a total of 930 intending pilgrims from Kwara State have so far been transported to Saudi Arabia for this year’s pilgrimage.

Officials of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board expressed satisfaction with the smooth coordination of the exercise, assuring that adequate arrangements have been put in place for the remaining pilgrims.
