The Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) has taken proactive steps to ensure seamless preparations for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. Under the leadership of its Chairman, Sheikh Wahab Atere Hashim Olamide JP, and Secretary, Alhaji Kamorudeen Babatunde Fasasi, the board has conducted a series of activities to ready intending pilgrims for their spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia.

Key efforts include comprehensive medical screening and vaccination exercises for pilgrims in the Ibadan/Ibarapa Zone, held at the Hajj Camp, Olodo, Ibadan. In addition, the board successfully completed its third orientation programme, offering vital guidance and distributing official uniforms and travel bags.

As part of the preparation, the board organized a prayer session with stakeholders and members of the National Council for Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO), seeking divine guidance for a successful pilgrimage.

In a further demonstration of commitment, officials from the board, including Alhaji Oloyin, recently inspected accommodation facilities in Makkah to ensure comfort and readiness for Oyo pilgrims.

The first batch of pilgrims from Oyo State is scheduled to depart on May 10th and 11th, 2025, Insha’Allah. The board’s timely actions reflect its dedication to a smooth, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all participants.
