As the city, home to Islam’s second-holiest mosque, braces for a surge in visitors, authorities expect the service to ease traffic congestion and enhance overall connectivity during the fasting month.
Powered by solar energy and forming part of the Medina Development Authority’s eco-friendly projects, the network builds on last year’s success when over 2 million commuters relied on the service.
With 106 strategically equipped stops—including major educational, historical, and commercial landmarks—the project underscores Medina’s commitment to sustainable urban mobility both during Ramadan and beyond.
