The process of repatriating Indonesian regular pilgrims continues smoothly. As of Sunday, June 23, 2025 at 13.00 WIB, it was recorded that 74,447 pilgrims and Hajj officers had returned to their homeland through 192 flying groups (clusters).
“Today there are 17 groups with a total of 7,801 pilgrims and officers scheduled to arrive in Indonesia,” said Head of the Makkah Working Area Media Center (MCH) Section, Dodo Murtado, Sunday, June 23.
The data refers to the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System (Siskohat). Meanwhile, the process of departing the second wave of pilgrims to Medina is still ongoing.
As of Saturday (21/6), as many as 21,626 pilgrims and officers have arrived in Medina. Today, as many as 18 groups with a total of 6,990 pilgrims are scheduled to depart from Makkah to the city.
“In general, the process of returning to the country and encouraging the congregation to Medina went smoothly, safely, and under control,” said Dodo.
Medina became the last destination before the congregation returned to Indonesia. While in this holy city, the congregation will carry out worship and pilgrimage to a number of historical locations in Islam.
Some of the places visited include the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, which is in the Nabawi Mosque complex, along with the graves of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq and Umar bin Khattab. The congregation also had the opportunity to visit Raudhah, a special area between the tomb and the pulpit of the Prophet.
Dodo appealed to the congregation not to force themselves to enter Raudhah without official permission or prayer beads, which would be facilitated by officers.
“Congregants are asked to follow directions and not force themselves. Officers will help so that the pilgrimage takes place in an orderly and comfortable manner,” he said.
