The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly Hajj season through continued implementation of crowd management plans and real-time monitoring of field operations.
Dr. Ghassan bin Rashid Al-Nwaimi, the ministry’s official spokesperson, made this known during a media briefing on Thursday. He described the organization of Hajj as a national honour, carried out with dedication and the spirit of Saudi hospitality.
He noted that over 436,000 pilgrims had completed Tawaf Al-Ifadah and Sa’i by 6:00 p.m. on the Day of Sacrifice. He added that 50% of pilgrims chose to spend the night in Muzdalifah, while 30% stayed until midnight and 20% stopped briefly.
The Nusuk Card, a digital ID introduced to ease pilgrim movement, has recorded over 5.5 million scans so far. Additionally, the Guests Enayah Center (1966) has delivered over 310,000 services, with an average response time of just three seconds.
Dr. Al-Nwaimi reiterated the importance of adhering to approved movement schedules and remaining within designated camps during daylight hours.
