The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a public advisory following an official notice from Saudi Arabian authorities regarding the deadlines for Umrah pilgrims ahead of the 2025 Hajj season.
According to the notice, Saudi Arabia has fixed 13th April 2025 as the final date for Umrah entry into the Kingdom, while 29th April 2025 is the deadline for all Umrah pilgrims already in the country to exit. This move is part of preparations for the upcoming Hajj exercise.
The statement, signed by Assistant Director of Information and Publication for the Chairman of NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara, warned that any violation of these dates would attract a penalty of 100,000 Saudi Riyals.
“All Umrah pilgrims are strongly advised to comply with this directive to avoid any form of embarrassment or legal consequences in the Kingdom,” the statement read.
NAHCON urges all Nigerian pilgrims, travel operators, and stakeholders involved in Umrah to ensure that travel arrangements fall within the stipulated timeline, as Saudi Arabia intensifies measures to streamline the transition into the Hajj period.
