The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has officially commenced the inoculation and medical screening exercise for intending pilgrims participating in this year’s Hajj. The exercise kicked off in Wamakko and Silame Local Government Areas.
Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, who inspected the ongoing process, commended the dedication and professionalism of the medical team. He urged all intending pilgrims to adhere strictly to medical advice provided to them, stressing that good health is crucial for a successful pilgrimage.
Alhaji Musa reiterated the agency’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and safety of all pilgrims from Sokoto State. “The agency is fully prepared to support and safeguard our pilgrims throughout their journey to the Holy Land,” he assured.
The Chairman was accompanied by the Acting Executive Secretary, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim, as well as the Directors of Operations and Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Chika and Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar. Upon arrival, the team was received and briefed by the Head of the 2025 Hajj Medical Team, Dr. Bello Abubakar Attahiru.
The agency emphasized that the medical screening and vaccination are mandatory steps aimed at preventing health challenges during the Hajj and ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabia’s entry requirements.
The exercise is expected to continue across all local government areas of the state in the coming days.
