Sokoto State Pilgrims’ Welfare Agency unveil dual Option for Hadaya Payment

Press Release

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has introduced a convenient payment option for intending pilgrims to pay their Hadaya in Naira before departing for Hajj.

This development was disclosed by the Agency’s Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, during a meeting with 23 Local Government Assistants for Hajj Registration Officers.

The Chairman explained that this decision was made considering the insufficient $500 basic travelling allowance for pilgrims, who will spend approximately 35-40 days in Saudi Arabia.

Pilgrims now have the flexibility to pay their Hadaya in Naira before departure or in Riyals upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Aliyu Musa also reported that preparations for the Hajj airlift are nearing completion, with over 60% of visas already secured. The airlift is scheduled to commence on the 9th of next month.

He said the Agency will flag off the Pilgrims Medical Screening on Saturday, ensuring the health and well-being of all pilgrims.

These initiatives demonstrate the Agency’s commitment to providing Sokoto State pilgrims a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience.
