The Forum of Executive Secretaries of States Pilgrims Welfare Boards has congratulated Ismail Abba on his appointment as chairman and chief executive officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The forum described the appointment as well deserved, citing Abba’s pedigree, integrity and extensive experience in administration and international relations.
In a statement issued by the chairman of the forum, Idris Almakura, and deputy chairman, Faruk Enabo, the executive secretaries pledged their support for the new NAHCON leadership and expressed readiness to work closely with the commission to strengthen coordination, enhance pilgrims’ welfare and ensure the successful conduct of Hajj and Umrah operations.
The forum also commended President Bola Tinubu for what it described as a strategic appointment and urged the new chairman to harness the collective experience of state pilgrims welfare boards in advancing NAHCON’s mandate.
The executive secretaries further prayed for wisdom and strength for Abba as he assumes the responsibility of leading the commission.
