2026 HAJJ: FCT MPWB Completes Return Airlift of its 1500 Pilgrims to Nigeria

The Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, had completed the return airlift of its over 1,500 Pilgrims to Nigeria, yesterday, after the arrival of the remaining 16 Pilgrims on board, including the Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah and other officials, who arrived the Abuja Airport, after the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

It can be recalled that the return airlift commenced on the 7th of this month, by conveying 316 Pilgrims on an Air Peace Flight from Jeddah International Airport to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja. It then followed by subsequent flights, back to back, until the 13th, while the remaining Pilgrims and the officials, arrived Abuja last night.

The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, in his goodwill message to the Pilgrims, congratulated them on their successful completion of Hajj 2026 and prayed to Almighty Allah to accept their acts of worship. He also wished the Pilgrims a safe and happy return to their respective families in their various destinations across the FCT and beyond.

Director Kadiri, further, expressed the Board’s profound gratitude to the FCT Administration under the amiable leadership of the FCT Minister, His Excellency, Bar. Nyesom Wike and the Honourable Minister of State, Hajiya Mariya Mahmoud, for giving the Board all the necessary support to deliver this onerous task.
