Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has personally paid for the Hadaya (animal sacrifice) on behalf of the state’s pilgrims performing the 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was made by the Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Idris Almakura, who said the gesture was funded from the governor’s personal resources, not public funds.

Almakura said the support would ease the financial burden on pilgrims and called on them to pray for the peace and unity of Nasarawa State and Nigeria.

Several pilgrims, including Alhaji Baban Kano, Yunusa Bello, and Idris Abubakar, expressed gratitude to the governor, describing the gesture as thoughtful and timely.

A seven-member committee has been constituted to oversee the Hadaya process, according to the board.
