Kaduna Pilgrim Dies While Performing Hajj in Mina

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has confirmed the death of one of its pilgrims, Hajia Hauwa Umar, who passed away on June 6 while performing Hajj rites in Mina, near Makkah.

 

According to the agency, Hajia Umar was en route to Jamarat for the symbolic stoning of the devil when she developed health complications. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, she died shortly after.

 

In a statement issued by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi, the government expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family and the entire Muslim community in Kaduna State.

 

“We pray Allah grants her Aljannah Firdaus and gives her family the strength to bear this great loss,” the statement read.

 

The agency said it remains committed to supporting the deceased’s family and ensuring the welfare of all Kaduna pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
