1,337 Yobe Intending Pilgrims Arrive Maiduguri Hajj Camp, Commence screening
The Yobe State Pilgrims Commission has announced the successful arrival of 1,337 intending pilgrims at the Maiduguri Hajj Camp, where screening and documentation for the 2026 Hajj exercise have officially commenced.
The Commission stated that preparations for the 2026 Hajj are progressing steadily and in full alignment with the approved national schedule. The arrival of the pilgrims marks a key milestone in the pre-departure process for Yobe State’s contingent.
According to the approved timetable, the first batch of Yobe State pilgrims will depart for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, 12th May 2026. This will signal the official commencement of airlift operations for the state.
The Commission reassured all intending pilgrims of its commitment to ensuring a seamless, safe, and well-coordinated Hajj operation. Comprehensive arrangements have been put in place, covering logistics, health requirements, visa processing, and mandatory pre-Hajj orientation programmes.
Intending pilgrims are urged to remain attentive to official communications from the Commission and to strictly adhere to all guidelines and schedules provided to guarantee a smooth and successful pilgrimage.
