The pillar stands within the Rawḍah, between the Noble Chamber (Ḥujrah Sharīfah) and the noble pulpit of the Prophet ﷺ. It is situated to the northeast of the Miḥrāb Nabawī.

Sayyidah ʿĀ’ishah (RA) once informed her nephew, ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Zubayr, that this exact spot is so blessed that:
> “If people knew the virtue of praying here, they would cast lots (draw Qur‘ah) to decide who gets to pray at this spot.”
This statement highlights the immense reward, acceptance of duʿā’, and spiritual elevation associated with praying behind this pillar.
