Commendation, goodwill and appraisal have continued to trail the just concluded launch of Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS).
Recall that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), in collaboration with JA’IZ Bank, on Sunday launched the bank-led scheme in Kano state, aimed at creating an opportunity for all Muslims in Nigeria to perform Hajj at least once in a lifetime.
However, in a statement on Tuesday, the Borno State Pilgrims Welfare Board congratulated its counterpart in Kano for its immense support towards actualization of the scheme.
The board also acknowledged the efforts of NAHCON and Jaiz bank for the launch of the scheme, which gives citizens of all economic status in the country to have an opportunity to at a least perform Hajj.
“Wish to use this medium to join millions of Nigerian Muslims and our esteemed intending pilgrims to congratulate NAHCON, JA’IZ Bank, KANO Pilgrims Welfare Board, and stakeholders from States and National for this wonderful achievement.
“It is a historical landmark in the history of Hajj in Nigeria. May Allah SWT reward each and every one of us richly and may He continue to bless guide and protect the leaderships of National States and entire Muslim ummah ameen thumma ameen,” the statement said.
