InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi said the service to pilgrims went very smoothly. The timeliness rate or on-time performance (OTP) for Hajj flight departures reached 94 percent.
“This achievement is thanks to the collaboration of all parties, including in ensuring the best departure flow for the congregation, the availability of facilities and services at the airport,” said Faik in an official statement, Sunday, May 11.
Regarding the departure flow, continued Faik, the immigration and quarantine processes are carried out in Hajj dormitories, as well as customs at Hajj dormitories or at airports. This step was chosen to support the ease and smooth departure process of the pilgrims.
Faik said that the security check before departure was also carried out by the congregation at the Hajj dormitory, where InJourney Airports alerted aviation security personnel as well as x-ray machines and handheld metal detectors (HHMD) in Hajj dormitories.
“In terms of service, all airport facilities, both on the air side, such as aprons and runways, as well as land side facilities at the passenger terminal, and all airport staff, can serve the congregation well,” said Faik.
