Contrary to rumours making the rounds, the ongoing strike by organised labour has not affected the airlift of pilgrims from Yola zone, Adamawa State.

There have been reports that pilgrims are stranded in Adamawa State due to the strike. However, a Hajj official from the state who declined to be named because he has no permission to speak to the media said “ there is no problem here at all”.

Hajj Reporters spoke with Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims board and the NAHCON Zonal Coordinator

“We are currently screwing our pilgrims with over 300 already transported from the Camp to Airport and we are even exporting to be transported by 4pm today Insha Allah.

The NLC has not affected our operations so far

He also said “as I speak with you, screening of pilgrims are ongoing and the last bus picking pilgrims to the Airport is about to leave. We are expecting the flight to land any moment and there is no form of resistance here at all”.
