NAHCON E-Track Team, Private Tour Operators Head to Saudi Arabia to Resolve Camp Booking Crisis

The leadership of Nigeria’s Private Tour Operators, alongside the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) E-Track Committee, is expected to depart for Saudi Arabia on Saturday to address the ongoing challenges surrounding camp bookings for private pilgrims.

A member of the delegation told Hajj Reporters that private operators were facing uncertainty over their arrangements in Mashair, with no camp booking yet secured for their pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

“We are heading back to Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Saturday, along with the E-Track team headed by Danbaba of NAHCON, to find a way out of our present predicaments,” he said. “We don’t know whether we are in B2B Business to Business or B2C Business to Clients or Business to No Business for this year’s Hajj. The Challenges is becoming complex for Private Hajj Operators, He said”

He described the situation as increasingly complex, citing the limited time remaining before the commencement of Hajj operations. He added that the fact Nigeria’s private operators were still struggling to secure Hajj camp bookings “says a lot about the apex Hajj regulatory body in Nigeria.”

According to him, while earlier disagreements over the choice of service providers contributed to delays, the composition and approach of the E-Track Committee had further slowed progress due to “seemingly contradictory” methods and inexperience.

The delegation is expected to hold engagements with Saudi authorities to streamline processes, clarify booking procedures, and ensure Nigerian private pilgrims are properly accommodated for the upcoming Hajj.
