Preparations for the 2026 Hajj have entered an advanced stage, with more than 90,000 pilgrims already registered through the Direct Hajj Registration programme, authorities have announced.
In a preview of activities for Hajj 2026 AH, officials said applications remain open for individuals interested in joining social responsibility and volunteer initiatives, as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery during the pilgrimage.
Work is also ongoing on accommodation and catering contracts to ensure quality, safety and full compliance with approved standards. Registration for volunteers participating in the 1447 AH Hajj season has been completed.
Authorities disclosed that updated regulations for international Hajj contracting service providers have been circulated, with a reported 77 per cent service update rate already achieved. In addition, the Hospitality Centers Personnel Programme has been launched and activated on the Nusuk Masar platform to improve workforce efficiency.
A new Partnerships Framework has also been introduced to organise Hajj operations, clarify roles and responsibilities, and strengthen performance monitoring across the sector.
Officials said the reforms are part of sustained efforts to enhance pilgrims’ experience year after year, as preparations continue for one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
