560 Kwara Pilgrims Return Safely from 2026 Hajj*

The first batch of five hundred and sixty Kwara State pilgrims has returned home safely after successfully completing the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims arrived at the Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, aboard a Max Air flight at 12:23 pm with three officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Speaking on their arrival, the pilgrims expressed gratitude to Allah for a spiritually rewarding pilgrimage and commended the Kwara State Government for its support throughout the exercise.

In an interview with our correspondent, one of the pilgrims, Alhaji AbdulGaniy Naallah Pako, appreciated the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board for the seamless arrangements made for accommodation, feeding, and transportation during the pilgrimage.

Also speaking, a female pilgrim Alhaja Saka Rasheedat expressed appreciation to the state government for ensuring a successful and hitch-free Hajj exercise.

Family members, friends, and well-wishers were at the airport to receive the returning pilgrims, expressing joy and gratitude over their safe return.

Meanwhile, the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has confirmed that the second batch of pilgrims is expected to arrive on Tuesday, assuring that all necessary arrangements have been put in place for their smooth reception.
