The Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) has appealed to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to refund outstanding IBAN balances earlier published by the commission.
In a letter dated December 15, 2025, and addressed to the #NAHCON chairman, the association said the funds are critical to the operations of affected tour companies and would help ease their financial burden.
AHUON explained that the refunds fall into two categories: naira-denominated payments to Nigerian bank accounts and transfers to IBAN accounts. The association, however, expressed concern that many operators in the naira payment category had yet to receive their refunds.
The group urged NAHCON to give the matter urgent attention to ensure that all eligible recipients are paid promptly.
AHUON reaffirmed its commitment to cooperation with the commission and expressed optimism that the issue would be resolved in the interest of smooth Hajj and Umrah operations.
