A total of 76,580 Bangladeshi pilgrims have completed registration for Hajj 2026, nearing the country’s allotted quota of 78,500.
“A total of 76,580 people have so far registered to perform Hajj in 2026, including 72,344 under private management and 4,260 under government management, in line with the Saudi government’s Hajj roadmap,” said Md Abu Bakor Siddik, senior information officer of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
In addition to general pilgrims, medical teams, Hajj guides, administrative staff, technical teams and others will also travel to Saudi Arabia to assist the Hajj pilgrims, he said.
“The ministry has sent the list of these individuals to the Saudi authorities for approval,” he said.
According to the Hajj Office, 72,344 Bangladeshi nationals will perform Hajj under private management, while 4,565 pilgrims will do so under government management this year.
As per the Saudi government’s roadmap, pilgrims completed final registration on 16 October 2025, while the government opened registration for Hajj 2026 on 27 July 2025.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has asked Hajj agencies and airlines to strictly follow the Saudi government’s instructions on pilgrimage management, as the first flight carrying pilgrims is scheduled to depart on April 18.
